Accounting, Finance, and Management

I am taking Acct 201, Mgt 301, Mkt 301 and Fin 301 for grad school prerequisites. I have already graduated, so these classes won't affect my GPA--I just need transfer credit.

I have Gary Newkirk for Mgt and Kerri McMillan for Fin. Any thoughts on these two, or suggestions for the other two classes?

I took Winters for accounting. I was expecting a D or an F in his class and somehow got a C. I think you are a little crazy taking all of those crappy classes at once... umm, McMillan.. She's an accounting professor's wife. Mr. McMillan has a terrible louisianna accent but I am not really sure about her. Have you checked out ryp?

Yeah, I am only taking 9 hours, so...I guess they might as well be crappy all at once. Like I said, all I need is B's or C's to transfer--they can't take my GPA away from you once you have already graduated. I start Grad school in the summer, I just need these to qualify.

I couldn't find RYP--I thought it was down. I checked out ratemyprofessors.com but they didn't have much.

Could you not take those classes at a tech school? I would take accounting and finance at a tech school if I had the option, just because you get the same credit and they are a lot easier there. All the mgt classes I've taken at clemson were super easy, although I have yet to take 301. And I hear mktg is easy too.

No, I thought of that, and the grad school advisor said that 300 level classes won't transfer from anywhere but a 4-year university.

well, accounting is a 200 level class.

I had J.J. McMillan for Acct 201 and thought he was easy. His accent is kinda funny, but it's not hard to understand what he's saying. He also has terrible fashion, which is funny as well. I'd take him if I wanted to pass, but I'd take Maryann Prater if I wanted to learn the most.

Watch out for the Mgt 301 lab. It's going to suck, and you're probably going to be in a group with 3 idiots. Take control.
