just wondering, does the paintball club actually go to a local field and play paintball? and if the paintball club does, does it also notify it's members when a game is going to be put together?

The club goes to local fields to play and also plays on its own field. The club maintains an e-mail list where play days and meetings are announced.

I suggest you people know what the hell you are talking about before you run your mouths on topis such as this one. You are serisoulsy miss-informed with what you just said....both parts. Talk to someone who knows what's going before talking.

i more so understand where you are coming from now mike, and im starting to agree with what you said before, the club thing jsut won't work and its going to put more stress on the team members to keep a club running because they aren't going to want to put forth the effort. however member numbers are always good. perhaps if we just offered the club members the discounts we get at gd, sp, and nationals for a small joining fee and not try and have it as organized as it was before. that way we could let them know when we are having tryouts incase they want to try or they can post in the CT thread when they are going to play so they have guys to play when they go out. i've gotten messages from a good many guys on pbreview last year about them being from clemson but not having anyone to play with.

Please enlighten me. I don't see how getting more members to join is going to hurt us. We've already got alot of stuff planned out on how to accomplish this- including advertising and rebuilding the website.

I am not talking about increases membership...I am talking about people saying things when they don't know what they are talking about. "Hell, I'd be too if I payed $20 and never heard from the club again".... Do you really think that's how it was? or are you just being an idiot. Either way you don't know crap about anything that went on so don't try and pretend that you do. You insult quite a few people when you talk bad about stuff so make sure you have your facts in order..... To the other part of the comments....getting funding back is a lot easier than you that I can tell you how if you want so hit me up about it....

ThatGuy - If you do the club play days that way or if you keep it mostly team only there are a few things that have to be done on the office side of things so get with me on that and I can tell you how to go about things.

Sorry if I offended you, but I'm just going by what I was told by the guy who started this thread, granted we only talked to him about it second semester- I don't know what went on with the team or the club first semester.

If we do restructure the club, likely it'll be just for our SP and NPS discounts, and we'll see if Extreme will do anything to help us out too. We can probably even have a smaller membership fee since we won'd be doing too much with the club- maybe a couple of arranged outtings a sememster, but it'll mostly be so we can get our numbers back up for funding purposes.

Did the guy you talk to try and play or show intrest....if not then he wouldn't have played simple as that.... For funding and recognition the school requires you to charge at least a certain amount anywayso you won't be able to lower it that much.... and for the funding our numbers aren't really that far off

wow, i started this thread along time ago but i never would have imagined it causing a shit storm such as this lol. anyways, yes i did show interest but i am a busy person and as such it is hard for me to go to all the meetings etc...about the only way to give me a heads up would be through AIM or email. And yes Chris i have to come back for another god damned year, i was going into the reserves because they told me they would give me schooling while i serve and while i was off duty which was of course a grade A steaming pile of horse shit i talked to my friend in the reserves and he told me the day i was going to sign with my recruiter that they would send me to iraq for about three to four years (talk about a close call!) so the only way for me to get edjewmicated is through clemson which after the upcoming year i will owe 21,500$, my left nut, and immortal soul to wachovia. btw, hows it goin and what is kyles sn?
