Hey, anyone that's studied or lived abroad, have you noticed in the last two months or so that all the Europeans are joining facebook? By this I mean N. Ireland and France specifically but all these people that I haven't spoken to since 2004 are all the sudden friending me.

Also, what's with the French and doing their names backwards like the asians? Is this just me or have other people noticed this?

I was telling Germans about Facebook over a year ago, but they still cling to Studivz. If there is a wave of Europeans to Facebook, Germany isn't a part of it.

Yes I heard about this. This was the N. Irelander's excuse. I only currently have two German's on facebook. The rest are from other places. I got three French invitations in the last two weeks. Those are the first french ones I've ever received.

American colleges don't take kindly to people wanting to study abroad unless they're undergrads.

Or doing research that involves requiring you to be in the country to do. Such has the effect of soap advertisements and tv on the population of Zimbabwe. This would require you to stay in Harare for a year. And then get (almost) driven out because you are white.
