Ha. I wanted to just throw it out there and give someone from Clemson a chance at it. As far as I know, I'm one of two people from the Southeast. In any case, getting hired is quite difficult. If I remember correctly, during the last round of interviews, we had >5k resumes, phone screened a couple hundred, brought onsite like 50, and hired ~20 (over the course of a 2-3 months).

Pere - Austin has been good; not fabulous. I think had I moved from SC to Austin, I would think Austin is fabulous, but unfortunately for me I notice all of the stupid things about America that I know could be better. I guess I had higher expectations for Austin regarding its public transportation, city planning, etc. Don't get me wrong, there probably aren't too many cities in the US that are any better, but my 4 years in Europe has tainted my perspective on how things should be.
